KIS business philosophy and guiding
principles.
-
KIS is an acronym
for King Information Services. It also serves as a
acronym for our motto, 'Keep It Simple'. Many business solutions require
only a different perspective and advice, not an expensive or
time-consuming technology solution.
-
KIS provides 'Value
Added Services'. The client must be able realize a stated business
objective from a completed project. Don't fall in love with the
technology and computerize things just because you can.
-
KIS will assist in
defining project objectives. This important point consists of the
following elements:
-
Listen to the client,
hear what they say and what they don't say;
-
Ask questions to
identify and resolve potential problems and conflicts;
-
Provide feedback and
confirmation that the complete objective has been defined;
-
Assist client in
justifying the objective. Generally, the objective should contribute
to increasing profitability by reducing expenses or increasing
revenues. If it doesn't increase profitability, there is a strong
probability that it should not be done.
-
KIS will prepare
formal specifications and documentation before any solution
implementation begins.
-
KIS will provide a
written consulting agreement that defines the scope of the project, time
frames, deliverables and costs. This is to protect both KIS and
the client. There should never be a conversation that starts with, "I
thought you meant ...".
-
The president of KIS
is a former Marine, Viet Nam, combat veteran. As such, KIS puts
honor and integrity above all else. We will never lie, either directly
or through omission. We always do what we say we will do.
